Hm

Looking back on the past four years I've had many many songs (works, whatever) pass through the earphones on my mp3 player. Yeah and the mp3 player has changed too, from the stone age 32 megabytes thing that I currently still use as a thumbdrive, to the 2gb creative zen I now own, and some others in the middle as well.

Here are some that have withstood the test of time (boredom is the word) that have moved across players as I've changed them, those that I'd never take out because they're pretty much a part of me already. Of course not that I don't like the new ones, but they're yet unproven.

Vienna Teng - Lullaby for a Stormy Night
This one... wow. This is probably THE song that continues to make me speechless when it hits me at the right time, despite having had it for so long. I more recently got the rest of the album (don't know why I put it off until now) and really I can't say I've heard a damn lot of singers, but she remains the only one who can just... hit it. She doesn't have the iron vocals of some powerhouses like... eh, you know, but to me she's just up there.

Eternity ~ Memories of Lightwaves - Noriko Matsueda
The piano version is currently the most played song in my player I think. 122 plays if I'm not wrong. And I've probably made every single person in tjmep sick of it by playing the unfinished piece over and over and over again.

古都风情 - 陈能济
It's a co piece, learned it when I was playing for chengsan co in.. 2006. It's currently one of the more popular pieces in the repertoire, and there's this really really unforgettable cello melody that's garnered it's staying power.

The World is Black - Good Charlotte
Hm, what can I say? Perfect song for a cynical bastard like me.

I Will - Sowelu
This one is the last ED theme for the anime for fullmetal alchemist. I think the video goes really really well with the style and that's probably what got me hooked onto it. It's more or less stuck from then on.

Hah. I guess these are the "golden oldies" that I'll continue to look back on. If you've known me for some time I'll probably have introduced one or more of these to you at some point of time. Or course I'll need to step it up a notch, listen to more stuff, things like that. Maybe when I do this again in a year's time it'll have stayed pretty much the same, or it might have changed beyond what I could ever imagine. Until then.

Oh and, seven click run^^ I think I'm a weirdo. I get healthier during mugging periods. It's no joke though, especially with a stitch >_>

Tried to find one piece at the mep library today. Haydn's Austrian Imperial Hymn. Unbelievably hard to find, internet doesn't even have any sites that stream it. Managed to find a few things though, Takemitsu's chamber music and Isaac Stern(!!)'s Barber violin concerto. With Bernstien no less. The third movement's not as fast as Hilary Hahn's, but he isn't exactly gunning for speed there. The buildup is fantastic though, and the second movement is just... heartbreaking.

Oh, and baby goldfish died =/

Well, so much for empty tank.

Woke up this morning to find my filter off, my dad's baby goldfish pengsan-ing in my tank and cups (yes, the drinking variety) in my tank. Fantastic right.

Oh, and I rest my case. The netbook starts up faster than my comp takes to get from google to blogger.

Today I was at the airport studying at around ten plus. Called home and my mum told me this:

"eh today we brought a fish back from the grandma's house..."

(oh crap it's another one to take care of, wonder what's the species)

"if you want you can eat when you come back"

OH. RIGHT.

Nah don't get me wrong it's not like I don't enjoy looking after them, it's just that it's kinda... surprising? Mebbe. And I don't really like to take in those I don't plan to get. Tank's cramped enough as it is already. Although it's a little better now, my dad's moved all his goldfish back into the main tank after fixing the leak in the original goldfish tank. So... currently I've got a two foot tank sitting empty except for one tiger barb and a black skirt tetra.

Eh I had about... nine platys (platies?) inside before but I moved them out to make space for the goldfish. Don't think I'll move them back though... they seem quite happy even with the lack of filtration. The plant with them has been doing fantastic too, it's even visibly photosynthesizing, so you can see oxygen bubbles forming and floating to the surface on a sunny day. Bad side effects though, I discovered rabbits aren't the only animals which eat their shit >_>

Oh and usually I read horoscopes just for kicks but today's is strikingly spot on...

This Full Moon might "throw a monkey wrench" into your plans for entertainment or recreation between now and the next New Moon, Capricorn. In fact, your friends or the activities of a group you are involved in could cause a disruption in your romantic life, possibly requiring a change in plans. It's also possible that your freedom is limited greatly by sudden issues concerning children. If you are single, this will not be a good time to pursue someone, there is the possibility of being put off because of responsibilities on the part of another

Yes, yes, yes (exams concern children), heck yes. Full moon s'more, it even knows it's just about one month till the As are over. Well done luh >_>

well it's your cross to bear

I just realized. Running right after rain takes a huge toll on your motivation =.=
There were times when it just seemed like the greatest idea in the world to stop and just walk. Barbecue smells don't help either, just had a dinner which was mostly just instant noodles (easily digested) so now I'm damn hungry =/ Thinking about whether to grab something to eat or not (and potentially busting whatever I did for the run.

ME

This is me

YIHENG
VICTORIAN

Shengplayer!
(Chinese mouth organist?)

I'm just your average seventeen year old boy, who plays not such an average instrument. If you want to, read. If you can, enjoy. If you'd like to, tag. If not any, it's been nice of you to visit, and I hope you'll like me better in real life.

I'm a dreamer at heart but I'm no different from you reading this. I like what you like and hate what you hate and well, if you hate me then that's just one dfference we share andwhat makes me not you and you not Yiheng.

Music is, and I hope will continue to be, a huge part of my life. If I could tell you why, I would but it would be impossible because music is just music, and there are no other words capable of describing it because you simply can't, and if ther were they'd just mean music all over again.
